Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before your dog's first appointment in Swansea.
Your questions answered
It depends on the size of your dog, their coat type, and what service you're booked in for. A small dog for a bath and tidy might take around an hour to an hour and a half. A full groom on a larger dog with a dense coat could take two to three hours. I'll give you a more specific estimate when you get in touch.
Yes. One-to-one home grooming can make a real difference for nervous dogs. There are no other dogs around, no waiting in a crate, and no rushing. I take my time with dogs who find grooming difficult and work at their pace. If your dog has had a bad experience before or tends to get anxious, mention it when you get in touch and I'll plan the session around them.
Try to give your dog a short walk beforehand so they arrive a bit calmer. Don't bathe them at home before coming in as this can make any tangles worse. Brush them through if you can. Let me know about any health conditions, allergies, or areas your dog doesn't like being touched.
Yes. I accept all major cards, contactless payments, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Cash is also fine if you prefer.
I'm based in Sketty and Tycoch, Swansea, in the SA2 postcode area. The grooming space is a dedicated studio on my property. The exact address is shared when you book. If you're not sure whether you're in range, just drop me an email.
Yes, I'm fully insured. You can leave your dog with complete peace of mind.
All breeds and sizes are welcome. From small Chihuahuas to larger breeds like Golden Retrievers, Spaniels, and Doodles. If you have a specific breed in mind and want to check, just get in touch.
Yes. Getting a puppy used to grooming early makes a big difference as they grow. My first groom session is gentle and designed to be a positive experience from the start. Puppies need to have completed their vaccination course first. Read the first visit guide for more.
Most dogs settle better without their owner present, so the usual approach is to drop your dog off and collect them when the groom is done. I'll let you know when they're ready. If you have concerns or your dog has specific needs, we can talk it through beforehand.
