A bit about who I am and how The Prancing Pup came to be.
From Norway to Swansea, always animals first
I grew up in Norway, surrounded by animals from a young age. Dogs and horses were always part of my life, and that love for them has never gone away.
After moving to Swansea and starting a family, I had a life I loved, but something was missing. I'd spent years thinking about training as a dog groomer and putting it off. Eventually I decided to stop putting it off.
I trained at Mucky Pups Grooming School, Wales' premier dog grooming school and salon. It gave me a real grounding in how to handle dogs well, how to read them, and how to make the experience as calm and positive as possible. It was one of the best decisions I've made.
The Prancing Pup is a personal business. I'm a mum of two and I've set up the studio from home in Sketty because I wanted it to feel like that. Personal. Family. Every dog that comes through the door matters to me, not just as a client but as an animal I genuinely care about.
I groom one dog at a time, take my time, and send every dog home looking and feeling great. If you have any questions before booking, just get in touch. I'm happy to chat.
